Brian Wickham – Principal

MR. BRIAN WICKHAM is an experienced educational leader with over 25 years of service at the secondary school level in Trinidad and Tobago. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Literatures in English and a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Administration from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, and has pursued a Master of Science (Distinction) in Educational Management and Leadership through the UWI Open Campus. He has served in various roles including teacher, Head of Department, Dean, Vice Principal, and Principal of Trinity College East. He later served as Acting Head of Administration (HOA) at Bishop Anstey High School East & Trinity College East for three and a half years and now resumes his duties as Principal of Trinity College East. Mr. Wickham is committed to fostering student leadership and positive school culture, and is the founder of the Big Brother Mentoring Programme, which supports student development through peer mentorship.

Alana Harewood – Vice Principal

MS. ALANA HAREWOOD holds a BA. in Linguistics from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. Having completed her first degree, she went on to work at the Centre for Gender Studies as a Research Assistant. During her time there she was offered a job to teach ESL to Venezuelan students and it was this opportunity that sparked her passion for teaching. A few months later she applied to teach at BATCE where she has been working since its inception in 2001. Within five years at the institution, she became the Head of the Department for English and has been the Vice-Principal at Trinity College East for many years. While at Trinity College East, she pursued studies at the University of the West Indies where she successfully completed her Diploma in Education with a Specialization in Educational Administration in 2008 and graduated with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership in 2019.
