Hugh Clarke
Hugh W. Clarke is an accomplished professional with a robust educational background and extensive expertise across multiple disciplines. He graduated with honors from Howard University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a double minor in Spanish and Economics. He later pursued a Master’s degree at McGill University, Canada in Political Science specializing in International Relations.
Adding to his academic achievements, Hugh holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with honors from the University of London, complemented by a Certificate in Legal Education from the Hugh Wooding Law School. His commitment to professional development is underscored by his certification as a Mediator.
Currently, Hugh serves as the Chairman of the Land Surveyors Disciplinary Committee of Trinidad and Tobago, where he oversees regulatory matters with precision and integrity. Additionally, he holds the position of Chairman at the St Ambrose Early Childhood Care and Education and is an active member of the Board of Management at Bishop Anstey and Trinity College East (BATCE),
Professionally, Hugh leads the law firm of Hugh Clarke and Associates in Tunapuna, where his leadership is pivotal in delivering legal services and guidance.
Prior to his current roles, Hugh Clarke made significant contributions as the first Executive Officer in the Office of the Ombudsman, demonstrating his dedication to public service and governance.
