Archdeacon Emeritus Steve A. West – a teacher by birth, a priest by vocation. He graduated with a B.Sc. in Botany and Zoology, M.Sc. in Agriculture (Entomology), M.A in Education and PhD in Education, all from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. Diploma in Theology – Codrington College, Barbados. Certified in Preaching, Counselling, Spiritual Direction, Mediation and Conflict Resolution and Television Production.
Archdeacon West is the recipient of the Chaconia Medal (Silver); Sylvan Bowles Bursary; Secondary Schools Drama Association – 25th Anniversary Award; Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association, Victoria Division – Foundation Member – Award for Selfless Service; Tunapuna/Piarco Regional Corporation – Award of Recognition and Appreciation in the field of Religion; Secondary Schools Drama Association – Award for Outstanding Service.
