Board of Management - Chairman

Stephen Sheppard is Chief Executive Officer of the Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute and a Trustee of the Anglican Church in the Diocese of Trinidad and Tobago. From August 2012 to January 2018, he was Director, Human Resources at the St. Augustine Campus, The University of the West Indies and up to July 2012, he was Assistant Vice-President, Student Support Services at The University of Trinidad and Tobago. Stephen was also Vice President, Customer Relationship Management and General Manager, Human Resource Services at the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago where he was responsible for customers and staff respectively. He is an innovative executive, experienced in strategic management, human resource management, program development, project management, team development, customer service management and change management with strong communication and interpersonal skills. He has a record of measurably improving organizations’ performance, attaining quality, efficiency and productivity objectives. 

Professionally he is a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources. His academic qualifications include a Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Leadership with a focus on Higher Education Administration; a Master of Sciences Degree in Customer Service Management; an Executive Masters in Business Administration; a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management with Distinction, and a Diploma in Advanced Telecommunications Engineering. He has been teaching masters level programmes at the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business for the last fifteen years and in 2013 won the best lecturer award.
