About Sixth Form
Bishop Anstey High School East and Trinity College East Sixth Form (BATCE Sixth Form) was launched in September 2006 as a department for continuing secondary education at Bishop Anstey High School East (BAHSE) and Trinity College East (TCE). Focused on the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) exams, BATCE Sixth Form began with the first intake of one hundred and seventeen (117) students and now has a complement of 291 (approximately 300) students.
Since its inception in 2006, Bishop Anstey Trinity College East Sixth Form has achieved significant milestones for such a young institution. These milestones are marked by consistent excellence at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) level. BATCE Sixth Form has become a beacon of higher education, rooted in the values and morals of the Anglican Church serving students from across Trinidad and Tobago. Under the leadership of Mrs. Joan Mason (former Head of Sixth Form) and Mrs. Shinelly James (current Head of Sixth Form), the institution has established a legacy of academic merit and holistic excellence. The institution has built an identity for itself in 13 years that schools which have been in operation for decades cannot boast.
The institution’s achievements are marked by its attainment of over 100 national scholarships, numerous privately funded scholarships, and high academic performance manifested by consistent placement on the regional merit list and national, regional and international awards.
